Refugee Support Programs Canceled After Trump’s Directive – You Can Help Restart Them

Due to funding cuts from the new Trump administration, essential psychosocial and social support programs for almost 500 Ukrainian refugees have been canceled, effective immediately. These programs have provided critical support for vulnerable individuals, including women, children, and the elderly.

The lost services are vital to the well-being of this community. Among the canceled psychosocial programs are:

  • Sport Activities for Seniors and Women: 40 sessions of Nordic walking, pilates, and gym per month, benefiting 135 individuals each month.
  • Makrame Workshops: 9 sessions per month, supporting 30 people.
  • Community Garden Meetings: 4 meetings per month, impacting 75 people each quarter.
  • Psychological Consultations: 65 sessions per month, benefiting 65 individuals.
  • Winter Sports for Refugees in Malopolskie: A one-time project offering winter sports for 18 women and teenagers.

Social support services have also been heavily impacted, including:

  • Social Worker Individual Consultations: 54 consultations per month, helping 54 beneficiaries.
  • Social Worker Information Sessions: 2 sessions per month, supporting 80 individuals.
  • Lawyer Individual Consultations: 54 consultations per month, benefiting 54 people.

We urgently need $10,000 per month to restore these crucial services and rebuild the trust of our community. Your donation can help us provide essential support to those who need it most.
